Life in the mountains requires consideration, understanding and flexibility. We are not only dependent on wind and weather for transportation, but also face new and changing challenges in logistics every day. While many things are taken for granted in the valley, the limits often quickly become apparent at 2000m above sea level. We therefore ask for your cooperation in complying with the house rules. These are displayed separately in the Berghotel Schmittenhöhe and are clearly displayed in/for individual areas/outlets.

Through the mutual conclusion and the obvious intention to conclude a booking contract (booking of accommodation and/or other services in our establishment), you enter into a business relationship with us. In this case, your data will be recorded by us (by the registration law) and processed by us for further offers and service offers. You acknowledge this process within the scope of data protection.

Our prices are stated in euros (€) in the booking confirmation for the services booked. The prices and services vary depending on the season, possibly depending on the contractual partners, are per person in the room of the respective category used on the basis of double occupancy - two full-paying persons in the room per night - including breakfast.

Booked breakfasts and/or ordered dinners are arranged individually and varied and do not include any obligatory arrangement of goods and/or services such as extensive themed buffets or served multi-course menus. Rather, we work to re-stage the diversity of Austrian cuisine and make it as varied as possible.
Allergens and intolerances can be taken into account, provided they have been communicated to us in detail, clearly and in writing in advance when the booking is confirmed. Ideally, please contact the chef on site directly and coordinate all details for your service with the restaurant manager. Please note that not all goods are always available; we are seasonally and logistically dependent on our suppliers.

The prices shown in the online price list (www.berghotel-schmittenhoehe.at) are per ROOM and night with breakfast and are generally calculated as offer prices for the respective season under normal sales conditions. These calculated prices are based on an overnight stay of five nights per booked person. Short stay surcharges may be charged. These are included in the price calculation depending on the season. The agreed prices and services according to the written booking confirmation apply!

Special services or inclusive services, which are offered as hotel services, are offered subject to availability and are to be understood as special services. They are not a price-determining component of the accommodation contract or transportation contract. The special services can be shown separately in the price list on the website at any time and include, for example

o The use of parking spaces in the valley subject to availability - surcharge possible and obligatory in winter,
o ski-in & ski-out directly at the Berghotel Schmitten and use of the ski & boot garage, ski pass service, advance booking and deposit at the hotel counter or reception, ski pass generally not included in the offer price,
o luggage transportation from/to the Schmittenhöhe mountain station with the gondola lift,
o use of the hotel wellness area (330m²) and the modern facilities,
o use of the public areas in the hotel such as the hotel bar, lobby, etc.
o fresh spring water daily in the wellness area for your well-being,
o free W-Lan access in the hotel area (also W-Lan free zones in the hotel),
o TV offer with international public channels (partly multilingual),
o Games and entertainment in the hotel lobby (lounge salon),
o Special conditions for pre-booked winter sports ski rental via our sports partners,

The use of all facilities/equipment/services is at your own risk! Please note that items from the rooms or in the restaurant or public areas may be charged to you by credit card in the event of loss, theft or other misappropriation. This includes in particular utensils such as bath towels, hair dryers, bathrobes, blankets, bedding, furnishings and equipment, glasses, bottles or other items, in particular decorative material. By concluding the booking and service contract, you confirm your express consent to the subsequent billing of the missing items by our collection partner Hobex via your credit card.

The local tax will be added to the room price:
Our stated prices are always inclusive of VAT and exclusive of local tax of currently € 2.05 per person/night, which is imposed by the municipality from the age of 15.

Important information:
Please note that all rooms and public areas of the hotel are non-smoking rooms by law. Special precautionary measures also apply when handling cigarettes, cigars or e-cigarettes on the mountain and in the Berghotel. We are subject to a code of measures and rules on the mountain, which are displayed separately in the hotel rooms.

Payment methods:
We accept all major EC cards and credit cards (VISA, Mastercard) and, of course, cash in euros (€) for down payments, partial payments and final payments. Billing takes place via Hobex.

How to get to the Berghotel Schmittenhöhe:
The Berghotel Schmittenhöhe can only be reached in summer and winter by gondola lift and transportation provided by Schmittenhöhebahn AG: Gondola operation 09:00 to 16:30, on a case-by-case basis at defined operating times. The lift ticket required to reach the hotel for the ascent and descent or the ski pass for one or more days is generally not included in the booked hotel arrangement. Ski passes or transport tickets are available at the valley station of the Schmittenhöhe at the designated hotel counter or ski pass cash desk or can be deposited in the booked name and/or printed out at the terminal if booked in advance. Details can be found in your booking confirmation!

Reservations are booking contracts: Reservations are only valid with mutual, valid and written reservation confirmation bound to the receipt of the agreed deposit. This partial payment is considered confirmation of the booked services. We reserve the right to make unilateral changes at short notice due to closure of the facilities due to force majeure, adverse transportation conditions to and from the hotel, late arrivals or departures, etc.! In all cases, we endeavor to find the best possible solutions for our guests and will inform you immediately. We therefore ask for all contact details, which will of course be treated confidentially.

Depending on the season, a special agreement has been made to relax the cancellation policy, with a cancellation fee of zero euros up to 3 calendar days before arrival in the summer months (May to October) and 7 calendar days in the main travel periods in winter and 28 calendar days for New Year's Eve bookings. These cancellation policies are listed separately in your booking confirmation.

Premature departure or cancellation
In the event of non-utilization of the room or early departure or cancellation of your booking, the GTCH apply (see reservation). You have the option of taking out travel cancellation insurance if you confirm your reservation in writing. Short stay supplement, single room use, extra beds in the room of the full-paying guests:
The following short stay surcharges apply per person and night (details in the booking confirmation):
for 1 night: € 15,-- | for 2 nights: € 10,-- | for 3 nights: € 5,-- (seasonal variations possible) Double room for single use surcharge € 20,00 per night. Children in their parents' room receive a 100% discount from 0-6 years, a 50% discount from 6-12 years and a 20% discount from 13 years in a room with 2 full-paying adults in an extra bed. Cribs are provided free of charge.

Hotel bar & daytime entertainment
Our hotel bar is open daily for our hotel guests until 10 p.m. at the latest and is a public space in the hotel. There may be music entertainment and loud conversation in the hotel bar, we ask for your understanding.
Our hotel is located directly in the ski area. Skiing fun consists of sport on the one hand and entertainment on the other. We offer our guests an après ski program in the afternoon from approx. 13h00 to 17h00 on the sun terrace and in the Almbar.

Hotel room check-in & check-out
On the day of arrival you can check into your room from 15:00.
On the day of departure we ask you to vacate and clear your room by 11.00 am (storage possible).

Vacation with your pet, surcharge € 15.00 per day excluding gondola ride
Please note that pets will not necessarily feel at home on the mountain (2,000m above sea level). A lively hustle and bustle during the day can cause irritation for the animal in winter as well as in summer. It is therefore necessary to make detailed arrangements for the accommodation and keeping of animals in the extensive mountain areas of the Alps. These are also associated with special costs and special regulations for pet owners. For the special cleaning of the rooms we charge € 15.00 per day per pet without food.
